Members of the U.S. Navy and members of the Republic of Singapore’s military engage in a game of soccer during a break in joint training exercises between Singapore and the U.S. Navy, Marines and Air Force. The multi-nation readiness training this year also includes the armed forces of the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste (East Timor). The combined training program is called “Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training” (CARAT), and the annual drills are in the 25th year of execution.
