Cloaked in lyrical, iambic pentameter, Rakoff's novel embodies the rawest emotions and moral complexities in the dynamic lives of a myriad of characters whose stories intertwine in the best and worst of ways. Beginning with a red headed child whose story is both heartbreaking and transcendent, to that of a gay man embracing his sexual prowess, to that of a successful middle aged man coming to terms with insurmountable loss, you'll find yourself completely immersed in every experience; from uproarius and comical, to heartwrenching and profound. Rakoff has left us with a treasure of a book that only strengthen and deepen apprecation for this fine and gifted writer.
